Barbie Kong
Honoring and hearing women’s stories Barbie Kong gives a voice to the zeitgeist from gen z to boomers. Barbie Kong creator Katie blends artistry with cultural conversations through the pov of a mother, actor, and educational counsellor. In addition, there are deep dives and surface slides on hot topics, pop culture, and all things educational as Katie, a Canadian transplant, explores the roots of community and connection to NY city.
Listen on:

After a long (and much-needed) hiatus, Barbie Kong is making her return — stronger, bolder, and more honest than ever. It’s been 7 years, and so much has changed — in the world, in our lives, and within ourselves.
This new chapter is all about real conversations. We’ll be talking about women’s experiences, mental health, motherhood, identity, art, career, and everything in between. Expect raw stories, vulnerable truths, and the kind of dialogue that feels like sitting down with an old friend over coffee (or a glass of wine).
Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you’re just discovering Barbie Kong now — welcome. There’s space for you here.
Let’s talk. Let’s laugh. Let’s unpack it all

Today, we dive into Taylor’s twelfth studio album — a project that feels less like a collection of songs and more like a reclamation of lineage. In many ways, Taylor carries the patrimony of modern female artistry: the inheritance of storytelling, reinvention, and resilience passed down from generations of women who’ve shaped the landscape of music.
As we unpack this new body of work, we’ll explore how her themes of love, ownership, and transformation echo the legacy of Lilith Fair — that revolutionary space of the late 1990s where women musicians claimed their own stage, their own sound, and their own stories. We’ll look at how Taylor’s creative evolution both honors that lineage and redefines what it means to be a woman artist in control of her narrative today.”
